"So what are conditions like in Irish prisons and what gives Mountjoy the reputation it has?"
On Wed 20th July, Senior Counsel, Michael O’Higgins talked to RTÉ's Pat Kenny in advance of an IPRT seminar about the recent High Court decision in Kinsella v. Governor of Mountjoy. They were joined by John and Eamonn, who have served time in various prisons around Ireland, both having spent time in Dublin’s Mountjoy. Both are now with PACE, the largest voluntary organisation in Ireland working exclusively with offenders and ex-offenders.
