Niamh McCormack, IPRT’s Legal, Policy and Public Affairs Manager, was interviewed on The Last Word with Matt Cooper about IPRT’s Rethinking Remand report. During the interview, Niamh highlighted IPRT’s concerns about the disproportionate use of remand for people experiencing homelessness, mental ill-health, addiction, and poverty, often in relation to minor offences.
