Roundup: Children's Rights Behind Bars

IPRT launched a new report on monitoring mechanisms in places where children are detained on 11th December 2014. This forms part of an EC-funded project, Children's Rights Behind Bars.
IPRT Executive Director Deirdre Malone spoke to RTÉ 'Drivetime' about the ongoing detention of children at St Patrick's Institution' (item begins at 57 mins) and why the ethos of the children detention school system is more appropriate for under-18s than the adult prison system.
