Irish prisons are considering housing inmates in public spaces. This comes as prisons across the country are at maximum capacity and experiencing a “crisis level of overcrowding”. Saoirse Brady, Executive Director with the Irish Penal Reform Trust and Cormac O’Keeffe, Security Correspondent at the Irish Examiner discuss the matter.
