IAYPIC: Launch of young people's version of 'Policies, Procedures for Children's Residential Care'.

The Irish Association of Young People in Care has launched the young people’s version of Policies and Procedures for Children’s Residential Centres, Your Guide to Living in Residential Care. Numerous discussions by the IAYPIC with young people in residential care in Dublin North East was the basis of the report. The guide was developed by the IAYPIC on behalf of the Health Service Executive. The version is broken down into the simplest language for every child to comprehend. Young people were involved at all stages of the process. The guide ensures young people are protected and treated appropriately by staff.
