Today, the Irish Human Rights Commission (IHRC) published its observations on the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Bill 2012, which seeks to introduce a national scheme for the compulsory vetting of those dealing with children and vulnerable adults.
The IHRC makes several recommendations, including clarification of the relationship between this Bill and the Criminal Justice (Spent Convictions) Bill 2012.
