We are thrilled to announce that IPRT, along with our partners in NIACRO, have been awarded funding through the All-Island Fund, by Community Foundation Ireland and The Community Foundation Northern Ireland for the second year.
We are very fortunate to have an established relationship with NIACRO that dates back more than 11 years, founded on our shared values and common mission to build safer communities through reducing crime, combatting social inequality, and addressing harms associated with the criminal justice system.
IPRT will be building on our work from last year with NIACRO on research, knowledge sharing, and leadership in criminal justice reform across the island on a project titled ‘Leadership for safer and more equal communities’.
Issues we expect to work together on as part of this project, given our long-standing histories of both service provision and advocacy in the areas, include supporting women in the criminal justice system and barriers associated with criminal convictions histories.
We look forward to updating our supporters on these areas of work (and more) in due course!
