20th May 2022
*The deadline for applications has passed. Late applications will not be accepted.*
The Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is Ireland's leading non-governmental organisation campaigning for the respect of human rights in the penal system, and for imprisonment to be used only as a last resort. We publish a wide range of policy and research documents, we campaign vigorously across a wide range of penal policy issues, and we are the leading independent voice in public debate on the Irish penal system.
We are now inviting applications for our Summer Policy & Advocacy volunteer programme (working 4 days per week, for one month between July and August 2022), and our Autumn/Winter Policy & Advocacy volunteer programme (on a part-time basis of 14-19 hours per week, September 2022 – January 2023).
Volunteers work as an integral part of the IPRT team, supporting our policy, research, advocacy and communications activities. Volunteer placements are unpaid. Therefore, IPRT aims to facilitate flexibility in volunteer hours to support the work and study needs of our volunteers.
Application process
The deadline for applications is Friday 20th May at 1pm. Interviews for shortlisted applicants will take place online, via Zoom, shortly thereafter. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application.
