Financial advice for Travellers with a family member in prison (2020)

A new resource from the National Traveller Money Advice and Budgeting Services (National Traveller MABS) is a financial advice guide for organisations working with families of Travellers in prison. It also contains useful financial information in general for individuals with a family member in prison. 

The guide covers three main sections:

  • Social welfare issues and entitlements
  • Housing issues and entitlement
  • Managing budgets

National Traveller MABS seeks to end the financial exclusion of Travellers in Ireland by effecting change in policy and practice which excludes Travellers and other marginalised groups from accessing financial services.
