We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) report, “Paying the Price: The cost and impact of imprisonment on families in Ireland”. The report is authored by Dr. Sara Singleton, Head of Public Education at TASC, and explores the financial, social, and emotional impact of imprisonment on family members, shedding light on the challenges faced by families and contributing to the national conversation on penal reform and family support.

The 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) took place in-person in Dublin on Wednesday 24 September 2025, and the IPRT Annual Report 2024 was launched at the AGM.

Report launch: Boxed Out: Higher Education, Criminal Convictions, and Perceptions of Risk

Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) is delighted to be the civic society project partner for the research report 'Boxed Out: Higher education, criminal convictions, and perceptions of risk' funded by the Irish Research Council. The research led by Dr Joe Garrihy and Dr Ciara Bracken-Roche of Maynooth University School of Law and Criminology will be launched on Wednesday morning, 13 November 2024 as part of a larger event 'New Opportunities: Higher Education Pathways for People with Convictions'.
