Anti-Social Behaviour Orders

This report gives a detailed overview of Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) which were introduced in England and Wales by the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, and have been available since April 1999. The research examines:

• The processes leading to the imposition of an ASBO
• The perceptions of key professionals and sentencers involved in applications for, and administration of the order
• The views and experiences of young people who have been subjected to an ASBO, and those of their parents/cares
