Presentation to Women’s Health Taskforce
9th October 2020
The Women's Health Weekly series invited a range of speakers to present to Women's Health Taskforce members; IPRT was delighted to be one of the invited speakers. This forum allowed the Women's Health Taskforce to hear evidence, experience and ideas from experts and advocates. The forum enables discussion and debate to broaden perspectives and insight into issues of importance to women’s health.
The IPRT presentation focused on: the characteristics of women in prison; the impact of COVID-19; specific physical healthcare needs of the female prison population; and mental health. The presentation highlighted a range of recommendations to be considered by the Taskforce in its work.
